At Universal's Island of Adventure, be part of the adventure and explore some of the greatest myths, cartoons, comics and movies ever created on some of the Worlds biggest rides and attractions. At Universal's Volcano Bay, enjoy a day catching rays on the beach, or explore the many thrilling water rides and exciting attractions the park has to offer.

Universal Orlando Resort

With so many exciting water parks in Florida, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to a wild day out. From Disney's Blizzard Beach - a ski resort-themed water park complete with a ski lift to reach the top of Mount Gushmore; to Aquatica Orlando - an oasis of floating rivers and real life dolphins; there's something for everyone. In Tampa you'll find Adventure Island, where the Colossal Curl awaits you - a 70-foot high adventure themed slide that hurls riders 622 feet through a maze of twirls, turns, and dips, providing a feeling of weightlessness.

Water Parks

Think shopping in Orlando....think big outlet stores...big malls...and big-name designer labels! There are several popular malls dotted around the City - the largest of them all being The Florida Mall, which draws some 20 million visitors each year with its 250 stores and huge dining court. With over 100 boutique shops and markets, specialising in fashion, beauty, toys and much more - Disney Springs promises a unique shopping experience; as well as unforgettable experiences including Aerophile balloon flight and Cirque du Soleil (coming Spring 2020).

Shopping

After a busy day exploring the parks, treat yourself to a relaxing day at the beach and soak up the famous Florida sunshine. Orlando's closet beach, Cocoa Beach, is known for its surfing culture - home to the largest Ron Jon Surf Shop. Named 'The World's Most Famous Beach', Daytona Beach is just an hours drive from Orlando and is the perfect place to visit if you love cars - here you can even watch a world-famous NASCAR race. If your looking for a quaint seaside town, why not take a trip to picturesque St Augustine Beach or Siesta Key Beach - named 'one of America's best beaches' due to its beautiful sugar-fine quartz-white sand.

Beaches

There are 7 beautiful state parks all within 50 miles of Orlando. At Wekiva Springs State Park you can canoe or kayak on the Wekiva River, and explore the 13 miles of trails on horseback.  At Blue Springs State Park, you can snorkel in the crystal clear waters and even spot manatees with the giant 'sea cows' taking refugee here in the warm waters from November-March. Lake Griffin State Park is home to one of the largest live oak trees you’ll find anywhere in Florida – follow a short trail by the entrance to admire its grandeur, or in De Leon Springs State Park, take a scenic boat ride along Spring Garden Run, where you can spot eagles, manatees and alligators.
